Mullin Painting was started by husband and wife Mike Mullin and Julia Collins in 1984, with nothing more than a ‘72 VW van and a ladder. In their early 20s at the time, the young couple was ambitious but not very rich, and figured it was cheaper to be painters than landscapers.
Fast forward almost 40 years and Mullin Painting continues to provide exceptional service, only now we’re working for the children and grandchildren of our original clients. See, over the years we learned that the key to long-term success in a business like ours is providing exceptional service and quality work, which is why so many people have come back to Mullin Painting time and again over the years. Julia continues to run the business to this day. We’ve all missed Mike since he won his battle with cancer in June 2020, but Julia and the team are more determined than ever to deliver for Mike’s loyal clients.
Sometimes, painting wall surfaces is only one half of a job done right. If we detect premature failure of an older paint job, we evaluate the surface to identify any underlying problems, and recommend a course of action to solve the problem, rather than cover it up with a new layer of paint that is bound to fail prematurely - again.
If paint is peeling, we seek to understand why: If outdoors, perhaps it's dry rot in the wood, or lack of ventilation in specific areas, or a leaking gutter. If indoors, perhaps it's a slow water leak behind the wall, or improper surface preparation, or lack of a suitable vent fan in a bathroom.
The key is to fix the root problem, then do the painting.
We have the expertise to fix any painting-related problem. We also have a network of quality professionals who can fix other problems, such as plumbing problems.
We've been around for more than 35 years. Why? Because we care about doing a job right. Because we use only top-quality materials. Because we have dedicated and loyal employees. And because we stand behind our work: if there's a problem, we'll fix it.
